The pattern for this top-down raglan
knit in worsted-weight yarn, which features mirrored cables running in
between the raglan increases and down the sides of the body, includes
instructions for both the cardigan and pullover versions.
The four sizing options range from a 22” to a 30” chest measurement, perfect for the majority of one- to five-year-olds. Because it is worked from the top down, it is easy to adjust the size and length for a perfect fit.
Techniques used include knitting in the round, the make one (lifted) increase, basic cabling, and picking up stitches. The pullover is knit entirely in the round, the cardigan body is knit flat and sleeves knit on double-pointed needles.
