This is why I haven't been blogging lately (well, this, and having a toddler and a class to teach while also finishing my master's) -- my Samba Socks are in the new Knitscene! Click on the link to see the preview; the issue as a whole looks really awesome. Pretty much the only things I've been knitting lately are design samples or submissions swatches, which is good, but also not good because I've been deprived of blog-fodder. But now that the magazine is out, I can show you the socks in all their sock-ey glory!
And a close-up of the flower detail...
They're simple socks, when all is said and done, but they do feature my upside-down gusset, and the flowers are very fun and easy. Plus, each one uses about 1 or 2 grams of yarn, so they're a great way to use up those odds and ends of sock yarn that tend to accumulate!

They are really cute!
Lovely to hear from you too.

Beautiful socks! And hurray for being in another magazine. It must be so exciting.
My husband has been stalking the bookstores for this issue, but it isn't out yet.
