Sorry for the lack of photos, I have been lazy about that today. Overall, though, I'm happy with how my Socktoberfest went -- I finished Kim's socks, which had been probably my oldest UFO. I wasn't so successful with my Noro sock yarn, but it's not the end of the world. I also finally blogged about my mismatched Monkeys, which remind me every time I wear them to check my notes before starting the second sock! but are still warm and comfortable, and therefore have been in heavy rotation this month, as the weather has turned colder.
I also was happy to make a donation, as promised, to Heifer International from the proceeds from my Hidden Path pattern sales. I donated a little extra so that I could purchase a share of a knitting basket -- it seemed appropriate!
Tomorrow, I embark on a new month-long adventure...NaNoWriMo! I have practiced saying to myself "I am writing a novel. I am writing a novel. I am writing a novel." in the hopes that I will indeed be able to complete a 50,000-word novel between tomorrow and the end of November. It may not be a novel that I will ever want to force upon a real live reader, but hey, if I'm writing it in a month, it doesn't have to emerge perfect and beautiful like Venus rising from the sea, right? Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself.
